Good Morning loves! Rise and shine!! I have to say I am particularly wired this morning since I got up at 5:00 AM for bootcamp!! Talk about a rude awakening… The first few exercises are always the worst but once my body actually wakes up and gets going I really appreciate how good it feels when I am done, AND now my workout is out of the way for the day and now I can focus my attention on today’s post! It’s episode two of My 70’s Show (see episode one here). I don’t know what it is about this cool boho feel but I’m totally digging it lately. And, lucky for me, the off shoulder trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon because I love it too! In face, it is expanding: off shoulder, cold shoulder, one shoulder, split shoulder… I could go on and on but basically show em off. I have had this Free People blouse forever and love how crisp and classic it is while keeping cool with the trends. I just changed the mood from my first post to this more 70’s theme style with some neutral colors and different accessories. I hope you all have an awesome humpday!
I don’t know about y’all but I’ve been taking in two cups of strong coffee every day this week because it has seriously been the longest ever (and I say ever in my strongest T-Swift lyric voice)! But, hooray for us, because we made it to Friday and aside from a few measly work hours, we can just go ahead and say it’s the weekend – even bigger hooray!! I’ve got total casual Friday vibes going with today’s look and channeled That 70’s Show. I found these super soft comfy denim culottes or ankle flares at JCrew on clearance a few months ago and have been playing with different looks. They are super outside my comfort zone but I really like them and forced myself to try the “new” style. I am also having a total love affair with lace up tops. I have a white one I am obsessed with and I recently found this pumpkin spice colored one at Ivy & Leo. It is so soft I cannot express to you just how good it feels. It is also a heavier weighted fabric and great for transitioning to cooler temps without having to layer anything underneath. I brought out my best 70’s inspired accessories to really bring it home and I’m honestly loving it. I really love it when the ideas in your head work out the way you imagine. 🙂
Have a great Friday everyone & don’t forget to enter the giveaway! Winner will be announced Sunday before the Carolina vs. Minnesota game!
Good Morning loves! I don’t know what has gotten into me lately but I have been feeling so energized lately. I felt like I was stuck in kind of a rut there for a while but I’m so motivated to get out and do things (like a 5:45 AM bootcamp this morning), it’s a pretty awesome change of pace. Today’s post has also got me pretty excited for hump day. I have seen countless people (bloggers and non bloggers alike) style the cape blazer in I don’t know how many ways. I love the way a traditional blazer or jacket looks when it is styled over the shoulders vs actually being worn and I totally feel that same air of chicness with this blazer. I also really love how affordable it is! You all know SheIn is my go-to site for all things super trendy and forward so I was really excited when I found this one for such a steal. I have said it once and I’ll preach it all. day. long. that I just cannot spend tons of $$$ on pieces that may or may not make into next year. I tried styling this piece a few different ways and this one was hands down my favorite. I love how sleek the all black look is with just a hint of leopard and a bold lip. Speaking of the bold lip, if you haven’t tried the Vice Lipstick from Urban Decay, you need to!! It is so creamy and smooth and has serious staying power. The most amazing thing is the color assortment. There are literally 100 shades to choose from. It’s a lipstick lovers dream!
Good Morning loves! How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was pretty awesome! I got a healthy dose of productivity and seriously got a lot of things scratched off my to-do list and still managed to get in some reading and football. You guys know how much I love sports, but mainly football! My brother never got the sports gene but I got enough for both of us and am ashamed to say I was yelling at the TV more than a few times this weekend- luckily no one was home. Wes and I pull for Appalachian State and East Carolina when it comes to college, but I am a die hard Panthers fan. I remember when the team first came to Charlotte and have had the privilege of working for the team off and on for a few seasons now. So, win or lose, stupid mistakes or not, they will always be my team. So I was pretty “turnt up” in the words of Cam Newton, when they had their home opener yesterday- and WON!. I was so excited I wanted to share with you one of my easy game day looks and my first GIVEAWAY!
Some of my favorite jewelry pieces to make are team colored pieces. I am not a huge logo person but opt for team colored attire when I am feeling festive. It’s a good way for me to feel supportive without screaming a particular team. This week’s giveaway is a winner’s choice: either of the necklaces shown OR two of the slogan bracelets.
