Happy Tuesday! or should I say twos-day? You guys know I love versatile pieces that are on-trend yet workable into the different facets of my busy life. Today’s skirt and top are pieces that I am loving over and over again this year. The top is super old (like high school) but has been a great one to hang on to and the skirt, while I got it this season, has already been worn several times and several ways!

Happy Thursday everyone! We are so close to a long weekend I can taste it! I’m so excited about some down time to relax in the sun and get some DIY projects done and to finish a few other books on my reading list. We have been so busy traveling lately I feel like I need a vacation from my vacations. I did manage to find a few minutes to download a few pictures from my England trip! It’s the first time I have seen them since I snapped them and I’m so excited to share them!! We saw so many beautiful things while we were there and it is pretty exciting to relive it all. Today’s post is from two areas we visited. Leamington Spa and the Cotswolds. Both areas are so gorgeous and overflowing with charm and historical buildings. Several of the buildings in the Cotswolds had thatched roofs. It was really refreshing to see a different way of life. Both towns are nestled in the picturesque countryside and maintain a slower pace. All the shops (except for the pubs and restaurants) close no later than 6 and there are no “one stop shops”, at least not in the smaller towns. If you need groceries for dinner you go see your fish man, mean man, cheese man and wine man. Shop small took on a whole new meaning and I have to say I really liked it.
I’ll warn you in advance about the outfit posts: I packed for cooler rainy weather since every forecast and everyone in England said it would be cool and rainy every day. Lucky for us, we experienced unseasonably warm and sunny conditions which made our days that much better, but outfits sparse. You all know how much I love these cut off shorts and how white and denim is my go-to. Well, on this trip these shorts and white tops were my saving grace! They kept me cool and kept me from wearing gym clothes the whole week. I swapped out some of the accessories but managed to live in some type of espadrille and either my Longchamp bag or this awesome cross-body the entire time we were on the go.

AH!! It is almost Friday y’all can you taste it?! I hope you all have been having a good week. It has been so hard for me to get back in the groove. Mentally, I’m just checked out and it seems like the work days last forever! Thankfully, the weekend is just right around the corner and I can finally get caught up on some much needed Zzzz’s and enjoy this amazing summer weather I came home to. This hot, sunny and recently humid weather has made these cut off shorts a go-to. You’ll have to forgive me for wearing them every chance I get. They go with everything and they are super duper comfy. They have a relaxed, loose fit and the rips and snags in the fabric give them a chill summer edge. They are also on sale right now so hop to it and click the link below to get yourself a pair, you won’t be sorry! While I’m definitely wearing these shorts right now, I’ve laid this stellar jacket to the side until temps drop back down to more jacket friendly weather or I venture back out West. This is another jacket I took with me to Cali and this outfit was one of my favorites. You know how much I love embroidery and so I couldn’t resist this purchase. It layers well with everything I have tried so far and the colors are so rich. The billowy sleeves are everything! They make just the right statement without being in the way or super crazy. It also comes in a fierce sunflower yellow color that is also amazing. I’ve linked it for you below in case pink just isn’t your color.
Free People Embroidered Jacket also available in sunflower combo , Denim & Supply Cut Off Shorts, Sam Edelman Lace Up Sandals, Blush Bag (other colors here), Navy Tank, Sunglasses, Earrings, Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Hot Berry

Good Morning loves! Where in the world has this week gone!!? Isn’t it always the case when you have so much to do that there is never enough time to do it?! I have been caught up in a whirlwind this week. Long days at the office, long nights trying to pack = crazy lady. Top it off with a big scoop of “I don’t know what the heck to take” and I’ve officially landed in toon town. Luckily I have been keeping track of all my “absolutely must fit no excuses” items for you so your packing might be a little easier. I also did some major editing so all my necessities fit in the sweet little carry on (linked below). I honestly can’t spend a minute on the beach without some sort of tunes and I swear by the SUNNYLIFE radio below. It has the cutest retro feel and plays your ipod or FM radio. It even has a latch compartment to keep your stuff sand free. The foam koozie made me laugh when I saw it so I knew I had to have it and have used it by the pool or the beach ever since. The BARE sunscreen is amazing! It is made by COOLA but is half the price and found at your local Target in the beauty section. It’s slightly tinted so I’m protected and have flawless looking skin while out and about. It’s hard to believe if you have ever seen one of my suitcases, but I really like making the most of my outfits and try really hard to pack smart – i.e dresses & rompers. They are total space savers & easy to throw on over a bikini!. I love having go-to beach vibe accessories that mix and match with all those single piece outfits.
I’ll be flying out to Cali tomorrow morning and can’t wait! For more of what I packed and a live look at my adventure, follow me on snapchat: taylor.davis71. The selfie stick and I will be exploring everything every chance we get.

Is it just me or are these weeks flying by?! It seriously feels like I was just rambling on about my eternal love of the 5th of May and here we are again staring at the end of another week!
As I mentioned Tuesday I have some super fun things coming up and I’m so excited to share that I’m taking a few trips this summer. I love traveling to new places I’ve never been and this summer is full of them. First up is LA! California has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember and it is finally happening. Ever since the trip was confirmed and the plane tickets were booked, I have been thinking non stop about all the outfits I want to take. I teeter between casual cool and sleek and chic. Today I’m sharing one of my casual cool and super easy outfits. It’s super laid back, comfy and totally realistic for an afternoon around the beach. The details of this outfit are my favorite and really make the simple pieces stand out. Cue the scallops & tassels! Top it off with some slip on sandals, a hat to cover wind blown hair and some cool shades and done. Since I’m a total hot mess when it comes to packing, I’ll be sorting it all out via this blog. I’ll be sharing a few more vacay inspired looks, what I’m packing and my absolute travel must haves over the next few days, so come back and see me real soon ;).
