Happy Thursday everyone! We are so close to a long weekend I can taste it! I’m so excited about some down time to relax in the sun and get some DIY projects done and to finish a few other books on my reading list. We have been so busy traveling lately I feel like I need a vacation from my vacations. I did manage to find a few minutes to download a few pictures from my England trip! It’s the first time I have seen them since I snapped them and I’m so excited to share them!! We saw so many beautiful things while we were there and it is pretty exciting to relive it all. Today’s post is from two areas we visited. Leamington Spa and the Cotswolds. Both areas are so gorgeous and overflowing with charm and historical buildings. Several of the buildings in the Cotswolds had thatched roofs. It was really refreshing to see a different way of life. Both towns are nestled in the picturesque countryside and maintain a slower pace. All the shops (except for the pubs and restaurants) close no later than 6 and there are no “one stop shops”, at least not in the smaller towns. If you need groceries for dinner you go see your fish man, mean man, cheese man and wine man. Shop small took on a whole new meaning and I have to say I really liked it.

I’ll warn you in advance about the outfit posts: I packed for cooler rainy weather since every forecast and everyone in England said it would be cool and rainy every day. Lucky for us, we experienced unseasonably warm and sunny conditions which made our days that much better, but outfits sparse. You all know how much I love these cut off shorts and how white and denim is my go-to. Well, on this trip these shorts and white tops were my saving grace! They kept me cool and kept me from wearing gym clothes the whole week. I swapped out some of the accessories but managed to live in some type of espadrille and either my Longchamp bag or this awesome cross-body the entire time we were on the go.
