Orange You Glad

Happy Tuesday! or should I say twos-day? You guys know I love versatile pieces that are on-trend yet workable into the different facets of my busy life. Today’s skirt and top are pieces that I am loving over and over again this year. The top is super old (like high school) but has been a great one to hang on to and the skirt, while I got it this season, has already been worn several times and several ways!

Orange Ruffle embroidered skirt

So today is twos-day because this is the second way I’m showing you guys how I style this top. You may remember it as a top layering piece from my travel look post last week. Next week I’ll be posting another way I styled the skirt hence two ways, twos-day. Both pieces are super versatile and have been done up and down for different occasions. If you hadn’t noticed by now I had a major ruffles theme going for my Keys vacation. I am super into ruffles right now and honestly, the more the better! For a long time, ruffles were for kids or “too girly” but I’ve always had a soft spot for them and love that they are showing up in unexpected places and in different materials.

Summer embroidered skirt look

I am also loving that orange and yellow are having major moments this summer. I know they are not universal colors that work for everyone but I highly encourage you to put on your big girl pants (with ruffles of course) and give it a shot. They are such happy colors and really make me feel like Summer. As always, if you aren’t gung-ho color and have some reservations looking like a Fanta girl, then try it with a neutral white bottom or any color you feel good in! Just keep it fun and true to you and you’ll be just fab!
