I’ve had my sights set on the perfect leather / moto jacket at least four years now. I have tried hundreds on and even bought one or two inexpensive ones that seemed to fit the criteria but ended up not being “just right”. I was and have been willing to invest in a more expensive one so long as it was the one. Seriously, you would think I was trying to find a husband all over again – I was that picky!

In my mind, if I was going to fork out the $$$ for something, I wanted it to be worth it and not be in the same searching position all over again a few months later. Well friends, I finally found the perfect one! It was right before my New York trip last fall and I was planning out my outfits and layers so that I would be comfortable working and shopping in the city all day. I knew the temps were going to be warmer but I also knew I would be in cooler office buildings for our handful of meetings. So after taking a few laps around my local mall (Southpark if you’re a native)  I decided to browse Nordstrom for the millionth time. I had been shopping there for weeks just browsing different categories but somehow missed the glorious rack completely dedicated to a rainbow of this style moto jacket. I tried two on (black and brown) and instantly knew it was the one – (cue Hallelujah chorus). It was a no-brainer so I quickly  checked the tag to brace myself for what I was getting into and was pleasantly surprised by the most reasonable price!

The styling possibilities for this gem are endless. When I say I wear it all the time (when it’s not 70 deg. in January) I mean all. the. time. You all should know by now I get the most out of my pieces so it’s no surprise this moto jacket tops dresses, the coolest fringe denim – duh! and more girly skirts to balance the look.
