CONFESSION: I love big bright prints! It probably isn’t a groundbreaking or even surprising confession, but I’m completely crazy about them and this palm print dress is no exception. I actually have to force myself not to completely immerse my wardrobe with prints and embellished pieces – balance is key y’all.
I have seen a ton of palm printed pieces over the past year or two and have loved how other bloggers styled them but couldn’t find the one that spoke to me. I wanted a silhouette that I could justify and knew I would get some good wear out of. While I had some major reservations about the sleeves on this particular palm print dress (because it’s blazing hot 24/7), I decided to go for it anyways because it is as chic and simple as it is fun. I also figured anywhere I wear it will have an air condition option or will happen sometime around sunset. If not, it wouldn’t be the first time I sacrificed practicality for style and photo-ops. And let’s be honest, we’ve all done it! 😉
I have to say I really love the overall fit of this palm print dress, particularly the length. A lot of you asked about the length of the floral maxi dress I wore a few weeks ago. (If you missed that post you can catch it here). This one is a little bit shorter than that one but still within my perfect length range. It doesn’t completely cover the shoes, but still hits at just the right spot when I wear my go-to white sandals. It also came with a matching printed scarf (not shown). For this styling I didn’t want the scarf to take away from the dress but I love that it came with the dress. It is perfect for a head wrap, belt or tying on your bag so I’ll definitely be styling it with other looks the rest of the summer to add this fun print to some more basic outfits. I hope you guys have a fantastic Monday and really kill it this week. Since we are going through some of the hottest days of the year, I’ve linked this dress and some other more summer friendly styles below including some really cute work out tops.
