TGIF everyone!! I don’t know about you, but this Friday was much anticipated. If you followed along my instagram story the past two weeks you know it’s been a whirlwind of travel to and from Charleston, SC. I got to work a one-night store event in Mt. Pleasant and then went right back for a 6 day stint for Charleston Fashion Week. Needless to say, it’s gooood to be home and updating all of you on recent outfits – starting with this slip dress.
Slowly but surely, I’ll be sharing everything I packed and wore for Charleston Fashion Week. Starting with this ensemble. I picked up this sweet green halter / slip dress from a local boutique in Belmont, NC. If you’re local it’s Derr’s or Jolie . If not, then I’ve linked it for you below and it’s on sale so hope to it! It has the most flattering fit and is super comfy. It is the perfect comfy yet fashionable outfit to wear around town. I paired it with my favorite black booties (see them styled here too) for an elevated look but you can easily throw on some cool sneaks and rock a more laid back look.
Even though I had the good sense to check the weather before I left and felt like I packed accordingly, I didn’t! I was not even close to prepared for the cold and windy days I faced! Thank goodness I packed this jacket and a few other light ones to layer over my dresses. It was my only form of survival and I still froze most nights. I digress… back to the outfit!
Since the leather moto jacket and black booties gave this sweet dress an edgier feel, I threw in some more feminine touches in the accessories dept: cue crazy sequin floral earrings and a leopard clutch. It added just the right amount of balance and a little fun. Also fun: my earrings are 30% off with code HappySpring and come in 3 other killer colors linked below. I hope you guys have a fab weekend!! I’ll be getting some much needed R&R and getting my life back in order. I’m embarrassed to say, I have been slowly unpacking for five days now…
