Happy Tuesday friends & happy short week! (at least for me) I’m getting extra excited for this upcoming weekend since we have Monday off and Wes and I are taking a mini vacay to the beach! I don’t know about y’all but after the past few weeks, this vacay is much needed. I could say the same about this glorious break in weather we are getting in NC! It’s got me itching for sweater weather and fall temps which is why I’m starting today by sharing this killer bow top with you.
So clearly I’m having a moment with blues and orange- mainly this orange bag that has been on major repeat over the past few weeks and now this chambray dress. I have to tell y’all, I was drawn to this bag because it was so different than anything I owned. I didn’t own anything orange and really believed that orange wasn’t my color. I was hesitant about spending the cash on a bag that, in my mind, I would rarely carry. Much to my surprise this bag has gone with so much! I love its versatility and have found new ways to wear it. (This is one of those take a chance times I was talking about in an earlier post here.) This purchase totally paid off and I’m really excited that it will easily transition into Fall. The rest of today’s post is all about casual comfort and color. This chambray dress is such a steal! I have found myself wearing it a lot. It’s cute and modest for work yet trendy and sophisticated enough to wear out and about. I change up the shoes and accessories to match the occasion but have never gone wrong with a good nude sandal. The bow tie neckline adds a flirty / girly touch that is juuuuust right.
What are some of your go-to easy pieces? I love a low-maintenance morning that only requires 5 minutes to get dressed!

Good Morning Loves! I am so excited to share today’s post! This amazing white shift dress has been on major repeat this summer. It is so easy to throw on and the accessory possibilities are endless! It is super loose and flowy but doesn’t make you feel like you’re wearing a circus tent. It comes with a lace up neckline and flowing sleeves that add cool detail. (for me, it’s always in the details!) I’ve worn it tied and untied for a variety of feels depending on what I’m going for. My all time favorite part of this dress is the subtle raw texture of the flowers. It is a little hard to tell in the pictures but it has a burn out, sheer feel without looking totally casual. Basically, I LOVE it and knew I had to have it the minute I saw it. With white being a major trend this season, I knew I couldn’t go wrong. To make my favorite dress even more awesome, I popped in these mega white flower studs. They are larger than life but super light weight and so perfect! I was a little nervous when I first got them and wasn’t sure if they were really me. It took them being on my lobes for 2 seconds before I fell in love and now I’m reaching for them every other day. Most days I have to restrain myself and space out the wear. I finished off this flirty outfit with a super playful & colorful tassel clutch and nude heels. I, along with many others, missed the boat on the Rebecca Minkoff Tassel bag but luckily found this gem on ETSY. It’s almost identical and completely affordable! If you haven’t noticed yet, I love getting the designer look for less or finding anything on super sale. The almighty budget is a beautiful thing and rules my life and the lives of many others, so naturally I also like sharing my good finds. I hope you guys have a rockin’ Tuesday. Only 3 more days to go!

Is it just me or are these weeks flying by?! It seriously feels like I was just rambling on about my eternal love of the 5th of May and here we are again staring at the end of another week!
As I mentioned Tuesday I have some super fun things coming up and I’m so excited to share that I’m taking a few trips this summer. I love traveling to new places I’ve never been and this summer is full of them. First up is LA! California has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember and it is finally happening. Ever since the trip was confirmed and the plane tickets were booked, I have been thinking non stop about all the outfits I want to take. I teeter between casual cool and sleek and chic. Today I’m sharing one of my casual cool and super easy outfits. It’s super laid back, comfy and totally realistic for an afternoon around the beach. The details of this outfit are my favorite and really make the simple pieces stand out. Cue the scallops & tassels! Top it off with some slip on sandals, a hat to cover wind blown hair and some cool shades and done. Since I’m a total hot mess when it comes to packing, I’ll be sorting it all out via this blog. I’ll be sharing a few more vacay inspired looks, what I’m packing and my absolute travel must haves over the next few days, so come back and see me real soon ;).
Do you have any exciting travel plans or bucket list destinations?

How is everyone doing today? I have to say I am over the moon excited about today’s post! I’ve been impatiently waiting like a kid at Christmas to share today’s look. Personally, I have been pretty weary of the denim on denim trend. It just really intimidated me and I felt like none of my shades coordinated and that I should just leave this one trend to the “pros” in the mags. I was really nervous to even put this outfit together even though if it was in fact a flop, no one would ever see it or know. There was just something holding me back. When I finally got the guts to give it a try and yes, even wear it out in public, I was thrilled with the results!!! I didn’t look or feel silly and some fun accessories gave it just the right hints of color to make it feel like me. I can’t say I’ll be going crazy with this trend, but I’m jazzed like Richard Simmons that this one turned out just the way I imagined it in my head.
What are some trends you are nervous to try?!
Chambray Shirt (this one is from Jolie Boutique but I’ve linked similar here & here), Skinny Jeans (currently 30% off), LV Bag, Wedges (also love these), Bracelet, Watch, Earrings, Sunnies (available in the $1 bin at Target but more here under $15), Belt (old JCrew but similar here), Art Stick Lip Color in Electric Coral
