Cambria Charleston Riverview

Thanks to Cambria Charleston Riverview for sponsoring this post. All comments, thoughts, and opinions are my own.

It’s that time of year again… My favorite time of year to be exact: Charleston Fashion Week. I just got back from Charleston where I attended the second event. If you haven’t heard, Charleston Fashion Week has changed their model from years past. This year, there are three separate events spaced out throughout the year. The first was a pop-up shop and show, the second was a runway show at Memminger Auditorium and the third, coming in September, is for the boys. The first-ever men’s runway show will be the final event for the year and is sure to be a good time.

Other than the fashion and discovering new designers, my favorite part of each trip to Charleston is discovering new places to stay. I have stayed in some pretty cool places and places that were just convenient to where I needed to be for work. Imagine my surprise when the Cambria Charleston Riverview quickly became my favorite place I’ve stayed to date.

The Amenities

Cambria Charleston Riverview has so much to offer. First, when you walk into the lobby, you are greeted by the friendliest staff. I arrived a little earlier than my check-in time hoping to get in early. The room wasn’t quite ready so I had to wait about 15 minutes in the lobby. Let me tell you guys, it was the most pleasant wait. I was offered water, snacks and several members of the staff and management teams check to see if there was anything I needed. The concierge was always prepared to help and offer assistance when needed. This was hands down the most delightful hotel staff I’ve encountered and I would go back just for them, but there are more great reasons to stay at Cambria Charleston Riverview.

The lobby is so chic. Decorated with Edison bulb chandeliers, leather chairs, and couches and opens to a large bar ready to serve you at happy hour. A quick pass through the lobby and the dining area leads you to the back patio where you can find the pool, sun chairs, and a fire pit. This was such a cool place to chill. If you are traveling for work or pleasure and find a few minutes to spare for relaxation, I recommend spending them there.

The Cambria Charleston Riverview is a great hotel for business trips. They have plenty of space for meetings or company gatherings and complimentary wi-fi. The hotel is also very close to the highway and easily accessible from just about anywhere in Charleston.

The Rooms

Where do I even begin with the rooms? The past few hotels I’ve stayed at in Charleston have had the tiniest rooms and are so cramped. I was so excited to have some room at the Cambria Charleston Riverview. The open floor plan includes a spacious bathroom with a Bluetooth smart mirror, queen bed, coffee bar, mini-fridge, workspace, and couch right at the window for admiring the beautiful views of the Ravenel bridge.

One of my favorite features of the room was the mural of the pineapple fountain on the wall. It was such a fun addition to have a small glimpse of Charleston in the room in such a big way. In addition to the great artwork and easy decor, I loved how clean the rooms were. I’m usually so nervous about hotels and hotel bathrooms, but this room felt clean from the second I walked in. They had a dedicated staff doing a thorough clean of all the rooms and it was greatly appreciated.

Do I Recommend?

I couldn’t find a single negative thing to say about the Cambria Charleston Riverview. It was the most wonderful experience I’ve had as of late and I 100% recommend this hotel. It isn’t a fancy place with two-story chandeliers or a pink champagne room, but it was an incredible stay with plenty of parking. When I go to Charleston, I love to stay on the go and make the most of my time there. My girlfriends and I are always busy so it’s important to me to have easy access to my car and easy parking when we’re ready to be done for the day. It may seem silly, but the ample parking was beyond appreciated. I’ve done my fair share of fighting for parking on King St. and I’d take a spot at the Cambria Charleston Riverview over that any day.

Have you guys been to Charleston or stayed at any incredible hotels? Let me know your rec’s for my next trip in the comments below! XO
