Happiest Friday friends!! Anyone else feel like this week was a total bear!? I couldn’t be happier for the weekend and few days of much needed sunshine. Today’s post is one of my favorites and a look I am totally obsessed with! When I was working in the corporate world, we would always have “casual Friday” or “denim days”. Even though I can wear whatever I want now and could easily show up in gym clothes, I still try to dress nice. I have found when you look good, you feel good and are way more motivated to be productive. I confess, I do wear jeans a lot throughout the week but I am 100% guaranteed to be in my fave jeans on casual Friday! They are clean and tasteful and nothing I wouldn’t feel comfortable meeting a client or partner in but have an extra flare to them like these high waisted Lucky Brand ones.
While my jeans may be good for the office, I wouldn’t recommend the top for casual Friday. If it’s the weekend then, I say let it fly! I am totally and completely obsessed with this top. I found it online at Asos last year and had to have it. The white color and the front of the top are so clean, crisp and innocent but the extra dramatic back is everything! I also have an obsession with blue and white everything. It’s mostly in home decor but I love classic outfits of denim blue and white when I need a mental break from all the colors of the rainbow. In wanting to keep this look simple and chic, I added my white leather bucket bag and these amazing bow mules to give it an elevated feel. Just because it’s a casual outfit, doesn’t mean you have to go full on bum. I like mixing chic (yet comfortable) heels with ultra casual styles the same way I like pairing easy sneakers with dressier styles. You can never be over dressed or over educated, but dressing for your environment speaks volumes so I try to maintain a balance and not look like I’m working the runway when I’m at the grocery store. I hope you guys have the best Friday and weekend. Wes and I are heading to Greensboro for a little family time and to continue his birthday celebrations so I’ve got to get on my last minute packing. Side note – anyone else stretch their birthday out over the whole month?! Wes and I are both super guilty of this every year. xo

The back is so cute. It makes me a little nervous to go sans-bra, but I actually think this top would be super cute paired over another top as well.
I was really nervous too but some good coverage tape / petals did the trick and there were no malfunctions!
